PS After School Activities-Sign-up: Jan.10th-14th

Primary School after school activities, catholic religion class, and Majon, begin the week of February 5th. This is the email sent by the Co-curricular Activities Department team with detailed information:

Dear CNG Parents,

Welcome to the second semester 2023-2024 SY; we hope you had a wonderful break.

Sign-up for K4-12 grade co-curricular activities will be done online through the Schoolsbuddy™ platform from January 10 through January 14, 2024. If you don’t have an active account you will receive an email directly from the platform with instructions on activating your account.

Please be aware of the following considerations:

1. The platform will allow you to rank the activities available to you daily. You should have a first preference for each day, and, if desired, second or third choices. 
2. Once the phase of registering activity preferences has closed, we will use the system to assign students to activities using the preference lists provided, while the system respects the space limitations of our facilities. This allocation process gives preferences to the rank-order registered during the registration period, but when activities have limited spots, it is important to realize that students will be placed into second or third-choice activities.  
3. There is no advantage to choosing only one activity; on the contrary, it increases the risk that your child will not get any activities during that time.
4. Condor Activities and Steam activities have a cost.
5. For MS/HS Parents: If your child was already enrolled in athletics activities in the last semester, it’s not necessary to register them again; however, you can check the changes made in the schedule on the links below. If you want to retire them from a certain activity, please write to cng_athletics@cng.edu. When registering your child to any of the CNG sports teams, we assume your commitment to attend the training sessions both in the mornings (if the group has them) and in the afternoons.

Registration:

1. Sign-up for registering activity preferences activities will open on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 7:00 am until Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 11:59 pm.      

Important starting dates: 

1. Starting date for MS & HS Athletics January 15, 2024. (after the registration process)
2. Starting date for ES Athletics Activities: Monday, January 22, 2024
3. Starting date for PS and ALL Condor Activities: Monday, February 5, 2024.
4. Starting date for Choir, Majon, Religion, Spanish Reading Club and STEAM: Monday, February 5, 2024.

Biography Projects Presentation for Second Grade Parents

CNG second graders have been learning about biographies and studying an important figure of their choice.  They will be presenting their biography projects on Friday, January 26th.  You are welcome to join us for their presentations in the cafetorium from 7:30-8:30.  We hope to see you there!

Please look at this Lost & Found repository for misplaced items. If you identify something belonging to your child, email Laura at the Reception Desk (lauram.torres@cng.edu) with the item description and your child´s name and grade, and she will help coordinate pickup.

Friendship Challenge

Our Friendship challenge continues! We are encouraging students to invite other PS students they have never invited before. They can take pictures and share them with their teachers. We will share them in the Theater during our next Award's Assembly.
