#23 - FEBRUARY 9, 2024
Dear Primary School Families,
I'm thrilled to inform you that we've had a fantastic week of learning with our literacy consultant, Vincent Ventura. The insights and strategies shared have enriched our classroom experiences and equipped us with incredible tools to support your child's literacy development. Now, let´s get ready for two fun celebrations: Valentine's Day and the 100th day of school.
Have a great week,
Paula
Valentine´s Day Love is in the air, and Valentine's Day is just around the corner! Join us in celebrating Valentine's Day by wearing red, pink, or white on Wednesday, Feb. 14th! Let's fill our school with love and color. Students who choose not to participate, are welcome to wear the CNG uniform.

100th Day of School Let´s Celebrate 100 Days of School on Friday, Feb. 16th! Get ready for a day filled with fun activities, and don't forget to wear something that represents the number 100! |
Parenting with Love & Logic Dear CNG ES and PS Families, We are excited to share that we will once again be offering the parenting series “Parenting with Love and Logic”, which will begin in the end of February. Attached here is the flyer. Last year we had over 100 participants and had a great time learning together, laughing a lot and enjoying our personal journey as parents. If you took the course last year, the materials will be the same, but the conversation changes every year. Many parents take the course more than once and we’d love to have you back! If you are interested in signing up, please follow this link to complete a quick registration form. Space will be limited, so be sure to sign up soon. In the meantime, if you'd like to learn more about Love and Logic, you can visit their website at www.loveandlogic.com. It is full of helpful resources, ideas and videos. In Partnership, Ron Sisson, ES Principal
After School Activities We want to ensure a safe and supervised environment for all students after school. Therefore, we kindly request your cooperation in the following matters: No unsupervised after-school stay: Please make sure your child does not stay on school grounds after dismissal unless they are signed up for an official after-school activity. Organized play dates: If your child has a play date after school, please arrange for pick-up or drop-off at their scheduled dismissal time. This ensures they leave safely and don't wait unsupervised on school premises. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. It helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for all students. |
Ensuring Uninterrupted Learning During Special Events To ensure uninterrupted instruction time, we kindly request that students in grades K4-5 remain in their classrooms during special presentations involving siblings. Your cooperation in refraining from classroom visits will help maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Thank you for your understanding. |
After School Activities Pick-up Dear Parents, Please be aware of the following guidelines to facilitate your child's pick-up through the main gate. If you pick up your child by walking every day, you must enter/pass through the turnstiles, locate your child, and exit with them, presenting the permanent pass ( attached photo). If you do not have the permanent pass, please request one at the primary office before 11:00 a.m., providing the information of the person picking up your child. If you pick up your child by car every day, you should do the car entrance line, and if possible, bring a letter-sized printout with your child's name and grade and place it on the windshield of your car to facilitate the calling of your child by the security officer's radio. Upon receiving your child, you must present the permanent gate pass; this will serve as a double verification for security. We appreciate your cooperation with this request, which will streamline logistics for everyone. Additional Info: Dismissal for Primary students enrolled in activities:
