OUR DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION PROCESS

OVERVIEW

Diagnostic assessments are carried out by certified and qualified group of professionals who are trained in administering and interpreting standardized assessments. This leads to the better understanding of students learning pro les. Diagnostic assessments are paramount to the development of efficient, effective and successful educational and intervention plans.

OUR DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATIONS PROVIDE:

  • Comprehensive data and analysis that lead to a better understanding of students learning strengths and needs.
  • Recommendations that guide the decision making process regarding placement in Learning Center programs.
  • Recommendations that guide the design of the Individualized Plans, Individualized Educational Plans (IEP), or Individualized Accommodation Plans (IAP) and/or individualized Learning Plans (ILP).
  • Periodic follow up and reassessment of students receiving services in order to assess their progress and determine next steps regarding interventions.
  • Carry out brief universal screening assessments that can help the early identification of students at risk of poor learning outcomes who may need additional assessments and supports.
  • Students who score at the 96th percentile (or above) on verbal and/or quantitative ability through a combination of the CogAT, MAP test, and Renzulli Scales qualify for the Gifted & Talented Program.
  • Students qualify for the Talent Development Pool when they meet the minimum criteria from the CogAT universal screener and/or the MAP test scores. These quali cations are set at the 90th percentile on the composite Student Age Score (SAS) of the CogAT or 95th in any one subtest of CogAT (locally normed) or MAP (standardized).
