Entry Cave
As their first design experience of the quarter, grade six Expo students were challenged to create a transformative experience for students as they enter the theater. After several iterations, the group decided on an immersive, mossy cave with a waterfall feature, that leads into a hidden person house. This brings together both the landscape and the traditions of Iceland, and allows guests to prepare for HONK! Jr..
Once tickets went on sale to the general public, Expo students designed thematic, feathered QR codes to help drive traffic to the ticket purchase site. They were also in charge of deciding where to locate their work, and how to draw the attention of different ages.
