Costumes are the key to transforming actors into vibrant characters, and for Honk Jr., set in the stunning landscapes of Iceland, the challenge was both exciting and creative. The goal was to craft contemporary garments that still captured the essence of each animal. Many animals served as inspiration. For example, drawing inspiration from Iceland’s diverse duck species, the costume designer, Ms. Habegger, used their rich, striking color palettes to bring the characters to life. She also looked to modern Icelandic fashion for innovative ideas, blending tradition with a fresh, imaginative touch. With the help of many dedicated parents, countless feathers, sewing needles, and shopping trips, we brought this enchanting world of creatures to the stage. The result? A dazzling array of costumes that make Honk Jr. soar!
