Condor Activities is a fun-filled, learning, co-curricular program that allows students to explore and develop their talents, interests, social skills and character. The program offers a wide variety of activities in art, corporal expression, culinary, music, sports, and science and technology that contribute to accomplishing CNG’s vision.
Art Workshop
This activity allows students to explore different artistic techniques and materials as they develop creativity and manual dexterity.
Yoga
Classes aim to teach children to pay attention, increase focus, and balance their emotions while building physical strength and flexibility.
Martial Arts
Students develop motor skills, coordination, self-control, and discipline through self-defense and body awareness practices. Both motor and mental dexterity are strengthened.
Primary students may take 1 or 2 classes per week. For Elementary, Middle and High School levels, 2 classes per week are required due to the technical difficulty and discipline required.
Students will be evaluated each semester for belt advancement. An additional fee applies to students advancing to the next belt.
Belt colors are divided as follows:
Robotics
Students learn about electricity and circuits as they enjoy experiments and projects related to robotics and electronics. Finally, they learn to construct their robot.
Cooking
Students learn about the origin of ingredients and recipes, nutrition, and proper use of kitchen utensils while following a recipe, and develop life skills like creativity, intuition, and patience while preparing savory and sweet recipes.
Skating
Students learn different skating techniques as they develop their gross motor skills, coordination and balance. Students must bring their skates and required protective gear.
Parkour
Parkour, also known as Art du Deplacement or Free Running, is the most holistic, spontaneous, and natural training method of the human body. Students will train to move with grace and fluidity over any terrain while making full use of their body's abilities to overcome any physical and mental obstacle allowing a successful adaptation to their environment.
ES Sewing and Embroidery
Students develop particular abilities to design on fabric through embroidery techniques. They will also develop creativity, increase their brain function, and acquire mindfulness skills through this activity.
PS Sewing, Stuffed Animals and Handbags
Students improve their motor skills using different textile techniques using needles, fabrics, and thread. Students will explore their creativity and strengthen their patience by working on abilities as necessary as coordination and concentration.
Science Experiments
Students have the opportunity to obtain profound knowledge of science through experiments that delve into the fundamentals of chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
Skateboarding
Students will learn skateboarding techniques like balance, control, and basic tricks, improving coordination, strength, and confidence in a safe and supervised environment. This activity promotes teamwork and perseverance as students overcome challenges and gradually improve their skills.
Students must bring a skateboard, helmet, and protective gear for hands, elbows, and knees.
Musical Instruments
The Condor music program offers top-quality music instruction based on the Suzuki teaching method for Violin, Piano, and Guitar.
Ballet
Students develop concentration, flexibility, coordination, and musical rhythm training. Students are encouraged to internalize movement and technical steps until they become automatic and develop muscular strength
Pre-Ballet
Students develop their motor skills through rhythm and coordination games. Comprehension of the body, its muscles and its posture are achieved in a harmonious, playful group environment.
PS Jewelry & Accessories
Students cultivate a personal sense of aesthetics. The use of different materials will allow students to explore the marvelous world of beadwork, within which they will strengthen their fine motor skills and reinforce concepts such as patterns, direction, and sequence.
ES Jewelry & Accessories
Students make accessories using different techniques like loom and Miyuki beads. Students will design accessories and develop fine motor skills and a sense of coordination. The Ancestral technique will be used to recreate their designs in the loom, which will lead to a push for creativity, constancy, and patience.
Dance
Students develop their skills in areas like movement, coordination, body management, musical coordination, and musical rhythm.
YOUNG ENGINEERS MOTORIZED LEGO
Students are introduced to the basic principles of mathematics, science, and engineering using motorized LEGO bricks that produce motion. Each child will be loaned the LEGO kit.
First Bike
Students acquire abilities in balance and coordination in balance bikes and regular bikes (bikes with pedals), depending on the student’s level and skills. CNG will provide bikes. Students must bring the required protective equipment.
Bike
Students work on mastering basic bicycle skills and working on the technical aspects to dominate the bike in different terrains and situations. This activity is for students who have taken First Bike or have the required skills. CNG will provide bikes and students must bring the required protective equipment.
Mountain Bike & BIking
Students master the bike's fundamental and technical skills and dominate the bicycle on irregular terrains such as grass, mountains, and rocks. Students will learn about urban circuits and natural and artificial trails and must bring the appropriate elements for practice and adequate protective gear.
Students must bring their bikes and the required protective equipment.
Climbing
Students will focus on developing flexibility, strength, agility, social skills by working with others, and mental skills by overcoming complex tasks within the scope of climbing. As students become involved in this activity, they learn to trust themselves and to have confidence in their endeavors beyond climbing.
Model Airplane
Students will be able to learn about the fascinating world of airplanes and model aircraft. Students will develop skills in designing, building, and flying their models through fun and practical activities.
This course will foster creativity and curiosity and teach basic concepts of physics and aerodynamics.
