Condor Activities is a fun-filled learning co-curricular program that shapes well-rounded individuals by teaching and developing their talents, interests, social skills, and character. The program offers a wide variety of options that contribute to fulfilling our school's mission, providing activities in art, corporal expression, culinary, music, science & technology, and sports.

Art Workshop

Provides a space for students to explore artistic techniques and materials as they develop creativity and manual dexterity.

Through the use of different techniques and artistic materials, this activity aims to develop students' fine motor skills in a way that allows them to express their creativity. Our main goal is to strengthen their confidence and motivate them to reach their fullest potential.

Mindful cooking is about being aware of each step in the cooking process and enriching our senses. Students will learn strategies to enjoy the present moment and develop life skills, like creativity, intuition, and patience, through the art of cooking. While preparing savory and sweet recipes, students will learn about the origin of ingredients and recipes, nutrition, and proper use of kitchen utensils, while following a recipe.

ES Fashion Design

ES Fashion Design

Students learn about Colombian designers, essential elements of fashion design and develop basic skills, from illustrating their creations to choosing color schemes. They know to make accessories, up-cycle garments, measure and put together a basic design, and they will apply all their acquired knowledge in a final virtual fashion event.

Students develop creativity, computational thinking, and object-oriented programming through STEAM challenges using 3D maps with Minecraft Education Edition. 

Students need a wifi connection and a computer or iPad to install Minecraft Education Edition.

Parkour, also known as Art du Deplacement or Free Running, is the most holistic, spontaneous, and natural training method of the human body. Students will train to move with grace and fluidity over any terrain while making full use of their body's abilities to overcome any physical and mental obstacle allowing a successful adaptation to their environment.

Scratch Jr. is an initiation programming language that allows non-literate children to create their own interactive stories and games, fitting graphic programming blocks with which they will make their characters move, jump, dance, and sing.

ES Sewing and Embroidery

In this activity, we seek to help students develop particular abilities to design over the fabric. Through embroidery techniques, students will develop creativity, increase their brain functions, and alleviate stress.

PS Sewing, Stuffed Animals and Handbags

We seek to help students improve their motor skills through the use of different textile techniques. Various projects will be completed using needles, fabrics, and thread, where students will explore all their creativity and strengthen their patience. In addition, sewing will allow them to work in abilities as necessary as coordination and concentration.

MS Fashion Design

MS Fashion Design 

Using themes from the Met Gala, we strive to encourage our students to learn about the history of fashion design, the different design elements, and basic sewing techniques. Students will design a collection from scratch, manufacture accessories and a basic garment.

Martial Arts

Martial Arts

Students develop motor skills, coordination, self-control and discipline as self-defense and body awareness are practiced. Motor and mental dexterity are strengthened.

Students have a Ceremony at the end of each semester.

Students will take a test to ensure they are ready to change belt and move to the next level. Test fee will be charged with an additional fee.

Belt colors are divided as follows: 

                        Beginners:  White, Yellow Stripe, Yellow, Orange Stripe, Orange.

                        Intermediate:   Blue, Green Stripe, Green, Purple.

                        Advanced:   Brown III, Brown II, Brown I, Black.

The recommended frequency of classes is two times per week.

For all students enrolled in Orange Stripe belt and above, it is mandatory they take two classes per week due to the technical difficulty and discipline required.

World Adventures

World Adventures

Our learners will follow Detective Equis' footsteps through New York and Tokyo. Students will learn exciting facts about these two cities while stimulating children's curiosity about the world, strengthening their reading habits, encouraging them to write their adventures, and fostering long-life learning habits. Each enrolled student will receive the Spanish paperback version of these books: Detective Equis en la Gran Manzana & Detective Equis en Tokio.

BIking 

Students develop skills to progress into mountain bike.

Bike and required protective gear must be provided by each student.

Ballet

Pre-ballet

Students develop their motor skills through rhythm and coordination games and comprehension of the body, achieved in a harmonious, playful group environment.

 

Ballet

Students develop concentration, flexibility, coordination, and musical rhythm training. Students are encouraged to internalize movement and technical steps until they become automatic and develop muscular strength.

Music Instruments

The Condor music program offers top-quality music instruction based on the Suzuki teaching method for Violin, Piano, and Guitar.

Students must register online for the first and second semesters.

Schedules will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis according to the instrument the child is registered in.

Changes in the schedule will be based on availability.

Guitar and violin students must have their musical instruments.

Piano students must have a piano or keyboard at home for practice.

Any additional material requirements and information will be given to parents by the instructor.

Attendance in all classes is highly recommended.

Daily practice is highly recommended.

Classes canceled by parents will not be rescheduled.

Any class canceled by the instructor will be rescheduled depending on the student's availability.

Students have a recital at the end of the semester. 

It is crucial to keep in mind that efficient learning when it comes to an instrument depends solely on the students' effort and daily practice.

Scratch 3.0 is a block programming language that allows the development of computational thinking skills by learning programming without having deep knowledge of code. Students will make animations, scenery changes, comics, and video games.

  • Scratch 3rd grade- Level 1: Basic Coding.

  • Scratch with Augmented Reality (AR) 3rd grade- Level 2: Advanced Coding

  • Scratch 4th and 5th grade- Level 1: Basic Coding.      

  • Scratch with Machine Learning 4th and 5th grade- Level 2: Advanced Coding.

PS Jewelry & Accessories 

We seek to cultivate in each student a personal sense of aesthetic. The use of different materials will allow students to explore the marvelous world of beadwork, within which they will strengthen their fine motor skills and reinforce concepts such as patterns, direction, and sequence.

This activity consists of making all types of accessories using different techniques like loom and Miyuki beads. Students will develop their fine motor skills and sense of coordination. All accessories will be designed by the students, who will receive graph paper to create their ideas using geometric figures. Ancestral techniques will be used to recreate their designs in the loom, which will lead to a push for creativity and constancy, and patience, which they will learn along the way.

Young Engineers

YOUNG ENGINEERS MOTORIZED LEGO

Students are introduced to the basic principles of mathematics, science, and engineering using motorized LEGO bricks that produce motion. Each child will be loaned the LEGO kit.

Students learn different skating techniques as they develop their gross motor skills, coordination and balance. Each student must provide skates and required protective gear.

First Bike - First Bike II

First Bike- Balance Bike

Students acquire basic abilities in balance and coordination as they learn how to use bikes with novel design and innovative safety gear. CNG will provide bikes. Students must bring the required protective equipment.

Students work on mastering basic bicycle skills, introducing pedals, and working on the technical aspects to dominate the bike in different terrains and situations. This activity is for students who have taken First Bike or who have the required skills. CNG will provide bikes. Students must bring the required protective equipment.

Students have the opportunity to obtain profound knowledge of science through experiments that delve into the fundamentals of chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
