CNG Housing Handbook 2025-2026

GENERAL HOUSING RECOMMENDATIONS ON SAFETY

Most of our staff live in the Chapinero Alto/Rosales area, and even though there have been a few cases of street robbery, there are no major reports of crime-related incidents. Nevertheless, it is important to keep some recommendations in mind for your own safety:

  • Most robbery incidents occur in independent houses rather than apartments; however, it is recommended to vary your normal, predictable routines between school and home.

  • Do not leave your keys with the doorman. If it is necessary, they must be secured in a sealed envelope.

  • Do not share personal or private information with strangers, and report any unusual activity to the guard of your building so that local police can also be notified.

  • Keep emergency numbers in a visible place and/or properly saved in your mobile phone. Do not react to strange calls; just hang up.

  • When you order home delivery (food or products), make sure to order from a recognized and certified provider, and, if possible, pay in cash on delivery to avoid card cloning.
