SH_A. CAFETERIA

A. CAFETERIA

Food services are provided to staff at a discount. Meal vouchers can be purchased at the Bookstore, Snack shack or vending machines.

Food services are provided in the Cafetorium, and two retail locations on campus (Bookstore and Snack Shack).

SH_B. TRANSPORTATION

B. TRANSPORTATION

CNG bus transportation is provided for full-time staff. In exchange for this service, it is expected that staff will support the bus monitor by supervising students while riding the bus. Staff members who see students misbehaving should help discipline the students and, when necessary, take down names and report the students to the appropriate principal’s office. Our external providers (monitoras) will also report any incident during bus transportation. Bus regulations are clearly posted on each bus. All passengers must abide by these rules. Staff members do not have special privileges while on the bus. They should not choose specific seats and, when appropriate, they must release their seat so a child may sit down.

CNG staff members must accept and utilize the routes already established for CNG students. CNG Transportation does not provide door-to-door service, so staff members must use these pre-established routes and cannot request an individualized route and/or bus stop.

Drivers and monitoras are not allowed to change routes upon the user's request.

SH_C. USE OF SCHOOL VEHICLES

C. USE OF SCHOOL VEHICLES

The school owns a fleet of buses. Bus regulations are clearly posted in each bus and must be adhered to by all those who ride on school buses. When necessary and appropriate, school vehicles may be used for school activities. A written request must be made to the transportation office, clearly specifying the date the vehicle is to be used, the time, and the purpose. Authorization for use of school vehicles for special events or activities not already scheduled in the school calendar must be obtained at the transportation office.

SH_D. SCHEDULING OF FACILITIES

D. SCHEDULING OF FACILITIES

The General Services office is responsible for receiving the appropriate forms and scheduling the CNG facilities. This includes the Cafetorium, Theater, Boardroom, and the Multipurpose Room. Other facilities must be scheduled through the appropriate office:

  • All athletic fields and gyms via the athletic director.

  • The Elisa Vargas (middle and high school) Library (EVL) with the EVL librarian.

  • The Primary Library via the Primary librarian.

  • The Elementary library via the Elementary librarian; and

  • All computer labs via the corresponding lab teacher/assistant.

Scheduling must be done in advance to avoid conflicts. A technician is assigned to assist staff members with the use of the facility and appropriate equipment, if requested.

SH_E. PARKING

E. PARKING

There are limited parking spots at CNG. Authorization must be requested of the Security Office in advance. The cars are not authorized to stay overnight on the school premises.
