CNG Athletics: MS & HS Information

MS & HS Information

Welcome to Middle and High School Athletics!

First and foremost the Athletics Department would like to thank you for your dedication and support to the athletics program throughout the year. The Condors were highly successful despite the difficult transition back to "normal." We would like to share some of our notable accomplishments within the 2021-22 school year.

-Returned to national competitions (2- Championships, 2- 2nd Place, 1-Third Place)
-Three successful local UNCOLI seasons (MS/HS 200 Competitions with an overall winning percentage)
-Participated and presented in the international Athletics Global Network Leadership Conference

We would like to formally invite student-athletes to the 2021-22 Sports Awards to recognize their accomplishments. Due to biosecurity, this year this event will be only for student-athletes, and parents will not be able to attend. Please see the attachment for event details. The event will take place in the MS/HS gym from 3:15-5:30. Transportation will be provided for student-athletes starting at 5:45 to their homes. Student-Athletes will wear their normal school uniform for the event.

 Mini-Binationals:

Mini-Binationals is an ACCAS athletics event that provides our students to participate in a fun and competitive tournament with ACCAS schools within the country of Colombia. Traditionally Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball compete on the same dates at the same school. However, this year we needed to adapt for biosecurity purposes. Here are the dates for our Middle and High School Mini-Binational events (pending biosecurity).

-MS Boys and Girls Basketball/Boys Soccer May 11-14 at CNG
-MS Boys and Girls Volleyball/Girls Soccer May 21-24 at GI in Armenia
-HS Boys Basketball/Girls Soccer March 16-19 at Bolivar in Cali
-HS Girls Basketball/Boys and Girls Volleyball/Boys Soccer at Columbus in Medellin

Student-Athletes who are selected by the Athletic Department will begin to receive detailed information approximately one month before the beginning date of their tournament.

Transportation starting March 14 Logistics:

  • Previously enrolled with CNG transportation:  CNG families who are already enrolled with CNG transportation will need to confirm any days and times that you would like for your child to utilize CNG transportation for Condor Activities or Athletic trainings. Please contact transportation@cng.edu or phone number 2123511 ext 120-321

Requesting enrollment with CNG transportation: If you would now like to enroll with CNG transportation for Condor Activities or Athletics please contact transportation@cng.edu or phone number 2123511 ext 120-321, mobile 3203136879, 3102663836.  They will inform you of the process and the cost.

  • Students Entrance and Departure Logistics- The same logistics of student arrival and dismissal will be maintained. Now that many families will choose to use the CNG bus service, we predict that the PS/ES student dismissal process could be more efficient. However, as CNG adjusts to the new schedules, we ask you to comply with the proposed times for arrival and departure. If personal transportation arrives too early or late is when traffic congestion occurs. Thank you for your patience in this process.

  • After competitions, all student-athletes will have the opportunity to utilize CNG bus transportation. Parents may also elect to receive their child at the competition location.
  • If a student is using the CNG bus transportation and lives in La Calera parents will need to meet the CNG bus at Diagonal 91 #4 Casetas.
  • For student-athletes coaches will email the parent that provided the email contact information in the Google Form for approving participation when the competition has concluded. In the case of an emergency, the coaching staff will contact you directly by phone. Please understand that occasionally coaching staff will not have phone service depending on the location. If you do not receive an email from the coach regarding the concluding time of the competition refer to the email for the approximate conclusion time for the game and predict your child’s arrival time based on the provided information.
  • If at any time you are concerned about your child’s location you may contact the transportation office at transportation@cng.edu or telefono fijo 2123511 ext 120-321, celular 3203136879, 3102663836.
