One of the latest collections our library has acquired is the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). These books will touch hearts and can help all of us become aware of how we can aid helpless creatures. The Pet Rescue Club collection is based on true stories and are the the ultimate source for animal lovers.
We have started to collect pictures of pets that are adopted to make a bulletin board at the PS Library. If you have adopted a friend, send us a picture so we can add it. Thank you!!
Reviewing the importance of treating books with respect was our first topic. The children had great ideas on how to take good care of library books. Having clean and dry hands, carrying books in backpacks, leaving them in a safe place, and bringing books back on time were ideas the students gave.
Later, we talked about using good manners. How important it is to remember two magic words: PLEASE and THANK YOU! Respect and kindness are two great values we are seeing at our library every day!
We are starting our Reading Marathon in October once again. We hope everyone will be adding points to their houses through their reading.
