Search engines, such as Google, only scratch the surface of the Web. Most scholarly work, like academic journals, encyclopedias, and specialized research collections are stored on databases, which are in the Deep Web. Google cannot access these items as they are subscription services which require passwords. You will have much better luck accessing appropriate, reliable, and authoritative information by going straight to the EVL databases.
P.S. An added bonus of using databases it that they provide ready-to-go citations! This is one time it's OK to cut-and-paste!!
